IN LIFE... WHAT DO YOU GIVE?

The world of strength sports gives back so much to its athletes, it is a shame for any lifter to not be able to compete, and leave it all on the platform.

Every Lifter deserves to feel that inexplainable moment it becomes just the lifter and the iron.

That moment all their training comes together on the platform and evolves into unbelievable human strength.

The audience, sees strength and power as they explode into cheers of encouragement.

Little do they know, that the vision of strength and power lifting before them is in a very intimate battle;  fighting against cancer, death, loss, pain, divorce, shame, fighting against helplessness, doubt, fighting against everything that lead to years of obesity, addiction, fighting against abuse, against senseless haters, fighting to the death...

Pushing, Pulling, Squeezing, and BATTLING to the bitter end...
Fighting for VICTORY!

The Three White Lights of REDEMPTION!

THEIR OWN, PERSONAL, SWEET... REDEMPTION!

"The lift is GOOD"

     LIANE SABOURIN

Liane,

is a POWERLIFTER, in need of the IRON, and focus that training for a meet will bring. Please, don't get me wrong, she is a beautiful, smart, and amazing woman. But she really wants to get to a few powerlifitng meets this year, the iron is calling, unfortunately, so are the bill collectors each month. I want more than anything to support this lifter and help make her desire to compete a reality.

Liane, is more than just a lifter, she is a strong single mother, and has spent the last twenty years working full time (sometimes more than one job), during which she has survived challenging health issues that required several surgeries along the way, and endured countless heartaches.  Liane, never asked for help, and even tried to refuse help now. I want it to be clear that by buying a t-shirt to support Liane, you will not be giving her charity, you will be contributing to her sponsorship. Redemption Powerlifting is asking for your help, show a little love, and support, get behind this lifter, and help get her on the platform at least twice in the year 2014. All funds from sales of the SOME GIVE EVERYTHING T-SHIRT will be put towards the cost of Liane's flights, entry fees, hotel expenses, food expenses, coaching fees, and gear requirements. Redemption Powerlifting, was created for this very reason, to support the lifters.

Liane is a proud mother of two, boys, her oldest is an excellent athlete. His natural athletic ability has been a blessing, one that has brought many opportunities to pursue higher athletics.  The other side to the blessing of being offered “opportunities,” is that they require you to take action or they remain only, “opportunities.” We all can think of opportunities we have had offered to us, but failed to take full advantage of.  So as a "good" mother, Liane, has done all the required running around, organizing, driving, and of course spending money hand over fist to make "it" happen for her oldest son. She by no means regrets a single moment, decision made, or even the sacrifices made so her son can take full advantage of all his athletic opportunities.

“Most recently, he spent a year in South Africa playing a whole new level of Rugby, and I couldn't be more proud.” – Liane Sabourin

Liane, youngest son, is her baby, and her little sweetheart. The entire family has spent many years in chaos, searching for answers to explain why her baby has so many special medical needs. In the spring of 2010 the chaos came to a head, and imploded on the entire family. After some pretty heart wrenching moments, that lead to her baby being hospitalized, God revealed his plan. Looking back at all the pain that lead up to Liane's youngest son's hospitalization, she can now see that every endless  night, every tear shed, and every countless question unanswered, was actually a god sent to the entire family, as it was in the hospital that one doctor started putting the pieces of the puzzle together, and finally diagnosed her baby. The relief of knowing what her son was going through, was a warm welcome to everyone. All though having a label for her son's condition doesn't change anything, it definitely helps answer many questions, and gives Liane, and her son new tools, and options to make life for the entire family much better!

“My youngest boy is special on so many level, and I wouldn't trade him for the world, he has a heart of gold!” – Liane Sabourin

Liane, discovered the power of lifting in the spring of 2011. It took twenty (20) years of being a strong single mother, surviving challenging health issues, and countless heartaches for Liane to realize she needed to do something for herself.  Once Liane started lifting, she finally found a place she could regroup, get strong inside and out, and take care of Liane. Though Liane could never turn her back on her new love, the iron, she would not change her past for the world. It was during those 20 years she discovered what she was made of, renewed focus, and grow endless appreciation for the loves of her life, her two (2) boys

Liane, started in the gym with a great trainer in hopes of losing some of the weight she had packed on over the years of horrible eating, inactivity, and endless stress. It was her trainer, a powerlifter, that introduced her to benching, within two (2) weeks, she was HOOKED!  She now trains full power, even with constantly being plagued by bad back issues, which at times leave her barely able to walk.  Liane, couldn't imagine life without powerlifting ever again.

BELOW ARE THE T-SHIRTS DESIGNED FOR:

LIANE SABOURIN

thank you for supporting this lifter!
she is an amazing lady on and off the platform!

“I'm beyond speechless, humbled, and at a loss of where to begin. Mindy has absolutely shocked me with her amazing generosity, love for others, and "take no prisoners" mentality. I'm learning not to say CAN'T around HER! She's asked me for a bio, and to share some of my story. Until I started, I had no idea how difficult that would be, life has been challenging on several fronts, when I received Mindy's invitation to compete in May I was thrilled, honored, and flattered. Of course I told her I would have to see how things played out, as I'm still playing catch up from the expenses of my oldest son being in South Africa, and from financial needs for my youngest. Just like most lifters, we have to budget to compete and travel to meets! I told Mindy, I truly wanted to lift in March at Relentless and give back to the kids, and that I would love to come to her RPS Meet in May as well. I also told her that it is a BIG maybe to both, because right now I can’t afford the expenses.....which brings me back to my opening sentence, don’t say "CAN’T" to Mindy! I have met some amazing people through this fantastic sport of powerlifting, people with huge hearts, and a huge passion for powerlifting. I am happy to be a part of this GREAT sport of ours, we all have a story, we all have our struggles, and we all find our own redemption with the IRON, Love You, Mindy!!” – Liane Sabourin
